Dentrix G7 System Requirements

2015 ADA CDT Dental Codes

The 2015 ADA CDT Dental Codes are now available for Dentrix customers running Dentrix G4 Productivity Pack 8 and Dentrix G5 Productivity Pack 2 or higher. The update includes 16 new ADA-CDT procedure codes. There is no new claim format in this update. Only Dentrix offices on a current Customer Service Plan will receive the new CDT codes automatically. If you are a Dentrix customer but are not on a Customer Service Plan, please contact our sales department at 888.988.4804 for the updated codes.

For Dentrix customers running Dentrix G4 Productivity Pack 8 and Dentrix G5 Productivity Pack 2 or higher you can check for updates in Dentrix to retrieve the update now. For more information, click here .

Dentrix Windows 8/8.1 Compatibility

Windows 8/8.1 is supported on Dentrix beginning with Dentrix G5 Productivity Pack 1 Hotfix 2. If you are using any third-party applications with Dentrix, we recommend that you verify that all of your third-party software is compatible with Windows 8/8.1 before upgrading to Windows 8/8.1.

2012 ADA Dental Claim Form (J430)

The 2012 ADA Dental Claim Form (J430) is now available inside of Dentrix for customers running Dentrix G4 Productivity Pack 8 or later.

ADA Claim Form J430 supports reporting up to four diagnosis codes per claim. The form includes box 34 for the diagnosis code list qualifier that indicates which diagnostic coding system was used (for example, ICD-9), box 34a for listing diagnosis codes, and box 29a for the diagnosis code pointer that associates procedures on the claim form with their corresponding diagnosis code(s). The claim form also provides a new "Qty" field for each procedure (box 29b) to specify procedures that were performed multiple times and have the same procedure code, treatment area, and fee.

Dental offices using Dentrix G4 Productivity Pack 8 or Dentrix G5 can use the Check for Updates tool to download the updated claim form when it becomes available. To find the Check for Updates tool, right-click the Dentrix Quick Launch icon in the notification area of the Windows taskbar to open the Quick Launch menu. Next, click Updates and then click Check for Updates.

If the Dentrix Quick Launch icon is not displayed in the notification area of the Windows taskbar, you can check for updates by clicking About Dentrix from the Help menu of any Dentrix module and then clicking Check for Updates.

Dentrix G4, Productivity Pack 8, Hotfix 6

Dentrix G4, Productivity Pack 8, Hotfix 6 is now available to download and install. This hotfix includes insurance forms changes for California and Idaho. It also corrects a number of bugs in the Questionnaire and Office Manager modules. To learn about everything included in this hotfix please download the Release Guide.

CDT 2011/2012 Update

Beginning January 2011, HIPAA requires dentists to use CDT 2011/2012 codes to represent dental procedures performed after January 1, 2011. Specifically, HIPAA requires all procedures for electronic claim submissions to use the code set that is current for the date of service.

  • Copy CDT2011Update.exe to any computer using Dentrix and double-click the file.

Dentrix G4 Productivity Pack 8

Note: You must install Productivity Pack 7 before installing Dentrix Productivity Pack 8.

Dentrix G4 Productivity Pack 8 is available for download. Henry Schein Practice Solutions is controlling the release of this productivity pack to ensure that sufficient customer service is available to assist any customers who may want help with the update. To achieve this we are restricting download availability to certain times and days. For that reason it may not be available when you try to start the download. We expect that this productivity pack will be rolled out to all customers who want it within a few weeks. By moving to Dentrix G4 Productivity Pack 8 you will have access to the latest improvements and features including:

  • Daily Huddle – organize practice teams to focus each day on delivering quality patient care and achieving goals
  • Letter Merge Add-in for Microsoft Word – make it easier to create letter merge documents
  • Dentrix Launcher – help new and temporary staff quickly be productive
  • Prescription improvements – easily create refills and correct dates
  • Questionnaire improvements – make fields required and set forms to expire so you know when to update them
  • DDX integration improvements – access DDX from more screens for better workflow and less distraction when treating patients

Dentrix G4 Service Pack - June 2009 (includes all fixes from previous Service Packs)

Dentrix G4 Service Pack (June 2009) must be installed on each workstation that runs Dentrix G4. You can easily install the service pack using the Check for Updates feature within G4.

Complete the following steps to check for updates and install Dentrix G4 Service Pack (June 2009):

  • Right-click the Dentrix Quick Launch in the System Tray to open the Quick Launch menu. Next, select Updates, then Check for Updates. The Check for Updates progress message box appears, followed by the Downloadable Updated dialog box. If the Dentrix Quick Launch icon is not displayed on your computer, you can check for updates by selecting Help | About Dentrix from the menu of any module and then clicking the Check for Updates link.
    Note: If there is a problem with your Internet connection, an error message may appear. Check your Internet connection and try to check for updates again.
  • Click Yes to download the Required Updates. The Download Progress message box appears while the updates are downloaded and installed.

PreViser Download

Dentrix is now integrated with PreViser's clinically validated risk and disease analysis software though a simple and easy to use technology bridge. This bridge allows PreViser to be launched from within Dentrix G3 and G4 versions, and pre-populates a number of the data fields required by PreViser.

Access to PreViser from Dentrix is provided through a special 'DentriXlink' toolbar that can be downloaded below:

  1. Download the DentriXlink toolbar: PreViser Download
  2. Download the latest version of PreViser from: https://service.previser.com/myaccount/

Dentrix G4 Clinical Record

This file contains the Clinical Record program for Dentrix G4. The Dentrix Clinical Record compiles data from eight issues, or aspects, of dental care that are important either from the clinician's or patient's point of view and that contribute to the fulfillment of dental wellness. The Clinical Record is accessed in the Patient Chart.

The program must be installed on each workstation.

  • Copy G4ClinicalRecord.exe to each computer and double click the file
    Or
  • Copy the file into the Dentrix G4 Setup folder on the server (ie. C:\Program Files\Dentrix\Setup). Then from each workstation browse to the Setup folder on the server and double click the G4ClinicalRecord.exe file.

Dentrix G3 CU3 (includes all fixes from CU2 and CU1)

Component Update 3 provides fixes for errors reported in the latest Dentrix G3 release. In Component Update 3,the Month End process has been updated.

The component update must be installed on each workstation.

Dentrix G3 CAMED Patch - California offices

G3 CAMED Patch provides updates for the new requirements in California for Medicaid Claims. If you bill California Medicaid, and do not send your insurance claims electronically through eTrans you need to download this patch so you can print your CAMED claims with the new requirements.

The component update must be installed on each workstation.

  • Copy DTXG3Dxprint.exe to each computer and double click the file

Dentrix VoicePro 5.0 Component Update 1

If you installed Dentrix G3 and Dentrix VoicePro 5.0 AND are a Dentrix Image user you will need to install the Dentrix VoicePro 5.0 Component Update on your server and all workstations operating Dentrix G3. This will fix the error you receive when switching to the Image pane.

The component update must be installed on each workstation that runs Dentrix G3, Dentrix VoicePro 5.0 and Dentrix Image.

  • Copy VP5CU1.exe to each computer and double click the file

Dentrix G2 CU5

Component Update 5 provides enhancements and fixes for errors reported in the latest G2 release, including fixes in the Treatment Planner, Treatment Case Report, clinical notes, insurance estimates, letter merge, Chart, and Lab Case Manager. It also contains the new Claim requirements for the CAMED forms, fixes the Allocate credit balances/Split payment calculations for payments and adjustments, and in the Appointment Book/View Scheduled Production amount incorrect due to procedures with 1 time unit.

This update includes all the enhancements and fixes that were included in CU1, CU2, CU3 and CU4, but it does not include the CDT-7 procedure codes. CU5 works with both G2 and G2 Vista.

The component update must be installed on each workstation.

This file contains updates to Dentrix 11, including billing statement Exclude Outstanding to Insurance option and Please Pay Amount, Claim form DX2000MM removes comma, and when attaching an electronic Image sends correct date. DTX 11.0 Word 2007 Letter Merge Component Update

This Component Update adds Word 2007 Letter Merge capability to Dentrix 11.

The component update must be installed on each workstation.

  • Copy DTX11CLMCU.exe to each computer and double click the file

Dentrix 11 Month End Wizard IE 7 Component Update

This only needs to be installed if you are running Dentrix 11 with Internet Explorer 7 or newer.

The component update must be installed on each workstation.

Dentrix 11 New York Prescription Update

This file contains an update to Dentrix 11 for the New Prescription Form for New York. If you do not print prescriptions for New York you will not need to load this update on your system. The component update must be installed on each workstation.

  • Copy Dtx11RXUpdate.exe to each computer and double click the file

  • Copy the file into the Dentrix Setup folder on the server (ie. C:\Program Files\Dentrix\Setup)
  • Then from each workstation browse to the servers Setup folder and double click Dtx11RXUpdate.exe

DXMobile Component Update for DTX 11

This only needs to be installed if you are running Dentrix 11 with the Performance Update installed and DXMobile installed. If you are not a DXMobile user and have not installed the Performance Update this will not install on your computer. If you have any questions please call support.
